There are many weddings that we capture and we delight in sharing each and every one with our friends and followers. But we are extremely pleased to bring to you the exquisitely elegant wedding of Gareth and Emma, which took place in the picturesque country village of Bradfield, just outside of Sheffield.
Morning preparations for the boys were located in the heart of Sheffield City Centre, at the cosmopolitan Leopold Hotel. Gareth and his best man Tom had stayed the night before and were exceptionally calm and relaxed when Marie arrived. Across town Karl had joined Emma and her bridesmaids, including Emma’s Sister Louise, to capture the bridal preparations, which also included the couple’s pet Siamese cats, Juno and Jem, who kept a inquisitive eye on the mornings proceedings.
At St Nicholas Church at High Bradfield, it came as a complete surprise to see sheep roaming freely within the grounds. They were completely unphased by our presence and the guests nearby, one even managed to smile for the camera!
Emma and her bridesmaids arrived on time in one of the most stunning examples of a Classic VW Camper Van that we have ever seen, inside and out. A beautiful split screen van in yellow and cream, adorned with a soft pink ribbon for Gareth and Emma’s day.
After the traditional ceremony, during which Gareth & Emma smiled continuously at one another; guests made their way into the village of Low Bradfield whilst we headed out with the couple to the nearby Agden Reservoir. It was a totally joy spending time with the new Mr & Mrs Lloyd who were the perfect subjects allowing us to get some stunning shots whilst they made the most of their time together before returning to join their awaiting guests
The reception was at Low Bradfield Village Hall, located on the picturesque village green, and on this beautiful Saturday it was full of people watching the local cricket match, out enjoying the sunshine. The setting was perfect, and just as the cricket team headed inside for tea, we commenced with the groups shots, we could’t have timed it better if we had planned it…which we didn’t!
Guests soon made their way inside for the wedding breakfast, followed by the speeches. Afterwards guests were able to make the most of the beautiful surroundings once again whilst the room was being turned around and the band were setting up for the hoedown. The barn dance was a fantastic way of getting all the guests together and it was great fun for everyone involved. Afterwards it was back to formality with cutting the cake, which was followed by the couple’s first ‘official’ dance. Then it was over to Craig the DJ to entertain the guests into the early hours.
Many congratulations to Gareth and Emma (Mr & Mrs Lloyd) from Karl, Marie and the team at Photography for Life.
