Luke & Rachel, wonderful wedding day photography story at the Kingscroft Hotel in Pontefract, near Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Despite Rachel early morning nerves almost getting the better of her, she still told me at the end of the night that she loved every second of her wedding day. Luke, also looking a touch nervous also said the same, but I think he felt a lot better once his speech was out of the way and the Squirral had made an appearance (more of that in a second).
Luke & Rachel ejoyed the hospitality of Kingscroft Hotel for civil ceremony and thier wedding day celebration, making it easy for to everyone in one place to enjoy their special day. With their beautiful kids as their flower girl and page boy the scene was set. Nerves still jangling for them both, the ceremony must have felt nothing more than a few seconds in time. Then out into the brilliant afternoon sunshine for a few group shots.
Taking a short time-put for themselves, we captured a few moment of them alone…a moment for them to take breath and spend some time together. During this time, we just let the couple be themselves, allowing us to capturing soe lovely romantic photographs of the two of them.
Shortly after their meal, and with the champagne at the ready, the speeches began. Father of the bride begins welling up a little as he explains how pride he is of his daughter, and soon hands over the duties to Luke for moment in the spot light. With gift, thanks all around Luke is soon sitting down awaiting his traditional grilling from the best man. It’s not however, before a special guest appears, ‘the squirral’. This is a guests in a suit, but it certainly helped the best man get a few laugh, as he’d only just finished explaining how the boys on the stag had all got a tattoo of a squirrel in a place well hidden!
Speeches over, the room is ready for the real party to begging, with cake cutting, first dance and then the Gangnam Style, lead by none other than Mr Squirrel making a further guest appearance.
As the night begins to move on, we finished the day with a night shoot in the gardens…
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mr Johnson, we wish them and their friends and family all the very best.
